Latest Updates from Our Project:

⏰ Final Hours: See What’s Coming to the Black Market Stall 🖤
4 months ago – Thu, Feb 12, 2026 at 09:26:03 AM

Hey everyone,

With just about six hours in the campaign, here's my final update about what's coming today and post campaign.

🖤 The Black Market

As we head into the final hours of the campaign, ending today at 4PM EST, I wanted to share a graphic showing what’s being added to our final stall, The Black Market Stall. ( see graphic below)

Some of these designs are still in progress and will not be fully finalized before 4PM, but I do want to show you what's being worked on and what's coming still.

While some pieces in this stall lean political or focus on banned books, not everything will. The Black Market is a catch all for bookish pins of any genre or theme. If it applies to readers, it belongs here.

Here’s what’s included:

📌 Reading Is Political
Black dyed metal with soft enamel. Simple, direct, and not overly decorative. Just a small statement pin for your bag, jacket, or hat.

📚 Ban Fascists, Not Books
This comes in either a gold plated or silver plated option. It's hard enamel and features either pearl or glitter enamel and UV printed details.

🎧 New Audiobook Pin
Not everything in this stall is political or about banned books though. This is a screenshot of a new audiobook design, currently in progress in Illustrator.

📦 Two New Bag of Books Trinkets
Two additional mini trinket designs joining the stall.

Even if some artwork is not fully finalized before the campaign closes, all designs shown will be completed, and I will share finished versions in a future update.

These will be available as pledge level pin options and as add ons in the post campaign survey.

📝 What’s in the Survey That Is Not on the Campaign Page

The post campaign survey will include expanded options such as extra campaign pins, past popular designs, stickers, bookmarks, and possibly other accessories.

BackerKit’s campaign page has limited customization, so the survey allows me to offer more flexibility and add on combinations.

We are almost at the finish line. If you have been waiting to pledge or adjust your selections, now is the time.

The Night Market closes at 4PM EST.

Thank you for building this with me. 🖤

⭐️ Final Call: All Available Designs Revealed + 24 Hours to Back ⭐️
4 months ago – Wed, Feb 11, 2026 at 11:48:28 AM

We’re officially in the final stretch.

There are just about 24 hours left to back the campaign and lock in your pins, plus all eligible free rewards before the Night Market closes its doors.

If you’ve been waiting to adjust your pledge, add that one more design to your cart, or finally jump in… this is your moment.

The main designs for the Cozy Nook Stall are now live!

You can scroll down to check them out below. I also added a new graphic showing all unlocked and currently available designs, and there are still more coming before we close.

Tonight I’ll be uploading:
  • The Cozy Nook tiny trinket designs
  • A preview of some designs from the Black Market Stall

We’re ending this the same way we started it — live designing, unlocking, and adding a little extra magic right up to the very end.

Thank you all for making this market feel so alive 🖤📚

Cheers,
Liz

✨ Magic Menagerie Stall — Complete ✨

✨ Magic Menagerie Stall — Complete ✨

The Magic Menagerie stall is officially complete 🐉✨

You can now find all of the Magic Menagerie pins on the campaign page, or scroll down below to check them out together.

Each stall in this project is supposed to have around 2–3 main designs, but I will be honest, I got a tiny bit carried away with Magic Menagerie. Between the number of designs and the different variants, it definitely stretched my time more than I expected.

What's Unlocked

Everything currently on the campaign page, as well as anything added between now and the end of the campaign, is fully unlocked. We have already reached the funding level needed to open the remaining two stalls and unlock their designs.

What’s coming next?

Based on the poll results, the Cozy Nook Stall will be the next stall to open ☕📚
However, during the final three days of the campaign, I will be doing something a little chaotic and opening the Black Market stall at the same time while working on both stalls simultaneously.

Full transparency, I genuinely did not think Cozy Nook would win the poll. I was so sure it was going to be either The Smut Peddler or The Fortune Teller’s Bindery, so this one surprised me a bit.

About the other stalls

As it stands right now, The Smut Peddler and The Fortune Teller’s Bindery likely will not make it into the final lineup for this project and will instead be saved for a future bookish campaign.

That said, if I manage to complete one or two designs from either of those stalls before surveys go out, I will make them available either as options for your pledge level pins or as a campaign add-on.

Thank you, as always, for being patient with my very live designing brain and for letting this project evolve in real time. I am excited to dive into Cozy Nook next 💛

Keep checking back over the next three days because I will be adding designs to the stalls as they are completed.

Cheers,
Liz

✨ New Design Reveal: The Sand Clock of Light and Dark ✨
4 months ago – Wed, Jan 28, 2026 at 05:26:39 PM

Hey all,

I’m so excited to finally share the latest design headed to the Magic Menagerie stall: The Sand Clock of Light and Dark. (check it out below)

This pin was inspired by the book This Safe Darkness by Alexis Marigold, specifically the themes of night and day and dark and light. I was lucky enough to read an ARC of the book, and I absolutely loved the world she created. The magic system, the atmosphere, the tension… it all stuck with me long after I finished reading.

While this design is intentionally generic enough to stand on its own as a magical artifact, I still wanted to be respectful and transparent. I reached out to Alexis to ask her permission to include it in this campaign, even though there are no direct quotes, references, or naming tied to the book itself.

If you love dystopian romance, This Safe Darkness is truly worth picking up. It’s an indie author debut, which makes it even more special, and it features a circadian rhythm–based magic system, an underground utopia, and a disabled FMC in her 30's. Please consider checking it out and supporting Alexis if that genre is your jam.
You can grab the book (special edition) directly from her website, or if you’d like to support an indie bookstore, both the hardcover and paperback are available through Brightside Books. It’s also available from larger retailers if that’s what’s easiest for you.

As for the pin itself, there is a lot happening here in the best way:

  • The top and bottom of the hourglass will be 3D molded
  • Clear epoxy will be used to give the illusion of glass
  • It features a mix of glitter, pearl shimmer, and pearl swirl enamel
  • Plus cut-out details

This one is very much a statement piece, and I can’t wait to bring it to life.

More magic soon 🖤✨

Cheers,
Liz

✨ Magic Menagerie: What’s Returning, What’s New ✨
4 months ago – Tue, Jan 27, 2026 at 04:16:09 PM

Before diving in, a quick note: I don’t finalize every design before launch due to time management, but also by choice. I’ve always done “live designing,” where designs evolve during the campaign based on backer feedback and polls. Updates like this are part of keeping you in the loop as things take shape.

I wanted to take a moment to talk a bit more in depth about the Magic Menagerie stall and how these designs are evolving.

If you backed Ink & Enamel – Fantasy Romance Edition back in 2024, then you’ll definitely recognize some familiar designs below.

During that campaign, and especially since then, these pins have become some of my most popular designs. When I placed the original order, I intentionally ordered many, many extras to sell later in the shop and at in-person events — and at this point, they’re almost completely gone. I’m down to maybe five pins total across all six variants.

They consistently get the most attention at markets, book expos, and conventions. People see them, light up, and almost always ask, “Was this inspired by ___?”

I’ve even had backers from that original campaign come back to purchase these designs again — either to grab a different variant for themselves or to pick one up as a gift for a friend or family member.

That kind of repeat love is honestly one of the biggest reasons I wanted to bring these back.

Because of that, the Magic Menagerie stall is going to be a mix of returning favorites and new designs, rather than being entirely brand new.

🌹 Swords & Roses (With Updates)

The Swords & Roses pins will be returning — but with some changes.
  • The shape and overall design will stay the same
  • I’ll be removing the pearl enamel, which just didn’t behave well in the smaller spaces
  • There will be new colorways and additional variants inspired by other beloved books
  • And the design will be getting a new name

So if you loved Swords & Roses, think of this as an evolution rather than a replacement.

🪟 Window to Another World (Redesign)

The Window to Another World pin is getting a redesign. The concept stays, but the execution is changing.

I’ve redesigned the gothic window to be:
  • More ornate
  • Featuring recessed metal and finer details
  • With more open space in the center

What’s still undecided is what goes inside the window. Last time, the designs featured scenery inspired by popular books. This time, it may still be scenery — or it may shift toward symbols, motifs, or imagery that evoke the feeling of certain stories, rather than specific locations.

This design will likely receive a new name as well, to reflect that evolution.

📖 A Possible Third Pin (Still TBD)

The final pin I’d love to create for this stall is based on a book by an indie author. That one is still still being explored because:

  • I want to make sure I can unlock more than three stalls overall and that I don't commit all my time to the current one
  • I’d like to speak directly with the author, who I’ve met in person and who’s local to where I live, to make sure she’s comfortable with the pin being included.
  • While the imagery is broad and general, I'd still like them to know.

So this design is very much a “we’ll see”, but I wanted to be transparent about what’s being considered.

Cheers,
Liz
